San Francisco’s ‘Community of Communities’

The SF Social Club is a San Francisco-based community focused on building genuine connections and amplifying local communities, businesses, and events. We’re a network of members and organizations that collaborate together, connect on shared interests and goals, and support and promote one another.

A Note from our Founder

In November 2023, I was on my way to a dance class when I felt a wave of loneliness. This had been building for some time; my friends from college had left for the East Coast or LA, my schedule no longer aligned with the teammates I used to dance with, and I didn't have many adult friends outside of work, college, or dance.

I felt the urge to find community, and quickly realized there were numerous communities in San Francisco I hadn't been aware of and countless events happening every day. Soon, the idea of a 'community of communities' was born, and I launched into a journey of connecting people in the city, raising awareness of local organizations and events, and building a network of passionate, interesting, collaborative, and supportive people.

My story is one of many. The pandemic was a huge impact to our social lives, and it's time to rebuild community, meet new people IRL, and expand our social networks. More than ever, people are hungry for connection and belonging.
